- Step 1: We answer (within 2 hours during business hours) A real person — typically a clinical intake coordinator — calls you. We confirm Medicare eligibility, verify the referring physician, and answer any questions about coverage.
- Step 2: Physician coordination (same day) We contact your neurologist or primary care doctor to coordinate the face-to-face encounter (if needed) and the written plan of care. Most physicians return our paperwork within 24 hours.
- Step 3: Initial home assessment (within 24 to 48 hours of receiving the orders) A registered nurse comes to your home to complete the OASIS comprehensive assessment, meet you and your family, and finalize the plan of care.
- Step 4: Care begins Skilled visits start. Most patients receive their first nursing or therapy visit within 5 days of the initial call — often sooner.
Coming Home From the Hospital?
If you’re being discharged from a hospital and have been told you need home health, we can often start care the same day or next day. Tell your discharge planner you want MS Home Health Care, or have them call us directly at (561) 693-1311. We coordinate hospital-to-home transitions for MS patients across all major South Florida hospital systems.
