Intro
MS Home Health Care provides Medicare-certified skilled home health services to multiple sclerosis patients throughout Miami, FL. Our Miami care team — registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, home health aides, and medical social workers — comes to your home, on a schedule, working with your neurologist, with no copay for eligible Original Medicare patients.
Miami’s MS community is shaped by the city’s diversity and density. We serve patients across Brickell, downtown Miami, Edgewater, Wynwood, Little Havana, Coconut Grove, the Roads, Coral Way, and the Upper East Side. Our bilingual English-Spanish capability isn’t a side feature — it’s a clinical foundation for serving Miami’s MS population well.

Our Promise
If you choose us, here’s what we promise: clinical care delivered by people who know MS. A care plan built around your specific symptoms, your specific home, and your specific family. Honest answers about what Medicare covers and what it doesn’t. And the kind of communication that means you never feel like you’re chasing us for an update.
If we ever fall short of that, tell us. We will fix it.
Better outcomes at home.
Miami has the densest concentration of MS specialty care in our service area:
- The University of Miami Multiple Sclerosis Center of Excellence at the Miller School of Medicine — a National MS Society-affiliated comprehensive MS care center with locations in Downtown Miami and Coral Gables, with on-site infusion and clinical trials access
- First Choice Neurology Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Center on Miami Beach — a National MS Society Partners in MS Care affiliate
- Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care — providing MS care in Miami
- Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Health System neurology programs
- The Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center — for veterans with MS
If your loved one is established with one of these specialists, our team works directly with their office. If not, our medical social worker helps facilitate that relationship.
Miami’s Spanish-speaking population is large enough that English-only home health is functionally a barrier to good MS care for a significant share of our patients. Our Miami team includes bilingual English-Spanish RNs, LPNs, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and home health aides as a standard staffing pattern, not a special accommodation.
This matters clinically because MS is complex. Disease-modifying therapy decisions, side effect monitoring, homebound documentation, Medicare benefit explanations, advance care planning — all of it requires precise communication. Spanish-language care from clinicians who actually know MS produces better outcomes than English-language care delivered through a translator.

Starting Care in Miami
RN initial assessments are typically completed within 24 to 48 hours of a complete physician referral. Our intake line operates 24/7 with bilingual English-Spanish coordinators.
Hospital Discharge in Miami
We coordinate hospital-to-home transitions with all major Miami hospital systems including Jackson Memorial Hospital, the University of Miami Hospital, Mount Sinai Medical Center, Baptist Hospital of Miami, Mercy Hospital, and HCA Florida hospitals. Bedside intake during discharge is standard practice.
Heat, Traffic, and Miami-Specific Considerations
Miami summers are intense, and Uhthoff’s phenomenon is a daily concern for MS patients. Beyond cooling strategies, Miami also presents traffic-related care logistics that our team has adapted to: visit scheduling around peak congestion, route planning for downtown medical district access, and coordination with concierge buildings in Brickell and Edgewater for entry.
Hurricane preparedness for Miami MS patients includes coordination with Miami-Dade County’s Vulnerable Population Registry and Special Needs Shelter program.
Miami's MS Community Resources
Several MS community resources are anchored in or near Miami:
- National MS Society of South Florida programs and support groups
- MS Focus Foundation — based in Fort Lauderdale but serving Miami patients with grants and resources, including a bilingual English-Spanish helpline
- Miami-Dade Department of Disability Services for accessibility coordination
